From April 24 to April 28, 2018, they all fall under the spotlight at the international exhibition TechnoMebel and the World of Furniture, which are held at Inter Expo Center – Sofia. They were opened at an official ceremony attended by Atanas Dobrev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Inter Expo Center Manager Ivaylo Ivanov, Nikola Zikatanov, Deputy Chairman of AICB, Ilian Tochev, Secretary of the Executive Forest Agency, Galin Gospodinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BCCWFI, and Alexander Minev, Deputy Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BSMEPA).

“It is a joyful fact that among the exhibitors there are companies that have participated in each of the editions of the two exhibitions” said Ivailo Ivanov, manager of Inter Expo Center. He pointed out that many new companies are joining this year, and foreign interest is growing. The total number of exhibitors in this year’s edition is over 190 and the companies represented are over 350. “The two forums, organized by Inter Expo Center and the Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry (BCCWFI), occupy the full capacity of Inter Expo Center, said Ivaylo Ivanov. Recalling that TechnoMebel and the World of Furniture are among the largest exhibitions in our country, Galin Gospodinov, Chairman of the Management Board of BDDM, wished the participants successful transactions and good meetings.

“We have to encourage the wood produced in Bulgaria to be processed in Bulgaria. The furniture industry is the best way to do it, “said Atanas Dobrev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forests. He identified this as an incentive for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Emphasizing the growing number of participants in the exhibitions each year, he identified their role as a major opportunity to create new business contacts and maintain high performance in the sector.

The TechnoMebel 2018 exhibition is marked by a strong international interest. Besides companies from Bulgaria, many of whom will present the products of the leading names in the branch, the exhibition includes companies from Italy, Romania, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Poland. This year more than 90% of the participants in the world of furniture are Bulgarian producers. The exhibition also includes companies from Ukraine, Turkey, Romania.
