Packing Just in Time event
03.01.2018

On the 5th and 6th of December in the demo factory of MOS Consult in Varna,
a special branch event took place with the official support and presence of imos AG, HOMAG Group, Smurfit Kappa, as well as their local representatives.

Build up from the purchase of the HOMAG VKS 250 cardboard cutting machine the event presented what an entire manufacturing automation would look like – starting from Sales all the way to the very final step of packing on the HOMAG VKS machine.

The event started with a presentation of imos NET – a system for online sales and configuration and interior design for both end customers (imos NET B2C) and business partners (imos NET B2B). The presentation then continued with imos CAD – the core of every imos AG system – and discussed transfer of information between both systems. We then continued with Controller MES – HOMAG Group‘s solution for complete feedback and information from the machine park of a factory, production planning, capacity planning and data enrichment and distribution. We continued with MOS Sorter – a system exclusively delivered by MOS Consult to handle issues with sorting of details before they will be packed. The event finished off with a presentation by the Area Sales Manager of Smurfit Kappa on fanfold, endless paper and Fefco standards and a presentation by the Sales Manager of Arcon Bulgaria – the representative of Domino UK printing solutions on digital printing solutions of high-res data.
